Michigan-born (don’t worry, I won’t break out the hand map), North Carolina-raised, and now Chicago-living. My wife and I moved to the Windy City in 2019 after a few years in Colorado, where I added rescue-dog dad and occasionally decent fly fisherman to my personal portfolio. Professionally, over the past decade, my design experience has been wide-ranging: landing big wins of global brands, rethinking an agency’s identity from the ground up, and turning a university law magazine into an award-winning publication. I’ve worked inside agencies, government, and higher ed—and each stop has added a new layer to how I think about systems, storytelling, and what makes design both functional and captivating. From large-format experiential graphics to brand identity overhauls to the perfect presentation deck, I’ve had my hands in just about every corner of design—and I still get a kick out of sweating the details down to the last pixel.
